Fan shaped sheets are not simply paper, but are composed of multiple layers of composite materials:

Raw paper layer: The main body provides structural strength and rigidity. Usually made of food grade wood pulp, kraft paper or white cardboard has a certain degree of stiffness and temperature resistance.

Coating layer: A very thin layer of polyethylene plastic film is applied to the inner and outer surfaces of the paper (usually only the inner surface, high-end products have both inner and outer surfaces).

Function: Waterproof, leak proof, oil proof. Without this layer of film, the paper cup will quickly become soft and soaked in liquid.

Printing layer: If a pattern or logo is needed, it will be printed before laminating. Use environmentally friendly food grade ink.
